Couse Description:
A field course in the basic analysis of human remains as an important part of archaeological information will be taught at Kaman-Kalehöyük from 12th - 17th July, 2010. The course will involve working alongside the site osteologist, and will focus on the establishment of sex, maturity and age range, and pathological indications. Instruction will be given in all stages of preparation of the material for analysis, as well as record keeping and storage of human remains. If site circumstances permit, a visit on-site will also be included.

No previous experience in working with this type of remains is required.
Lecturer:
The course will be given in English by Veronica Hunt MA MSc who is Site Osteologist at Kaman and has many years of both in-field and laboratory work with human remains behind her.

Cost:
$250 course fee (includes food and lodging; students are expected to pay for their travel to Kaman, Kırşehir, Turkey)
